Meet The Team: Michael P. Design
Michael Poczkalski. Principal Designer
Michael Poczkalski is the owner and principal designer of michael P. design and room. He holds a Master’s degree in architecture from the University of Buffalo and attended Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design Loeb Fellowship Program. Michael P’s training in architecture gives him the ability to design an interior that perfectly complements the grandeur of a building while implementing modern day design trends.
Michael P has received accolades for his design work at the Hotel Lafayette, a monumental preservation project for the city of Buffalo. He was awarded the Preservation League of New York State’s “Excellence in Historic Preservation” award, and was most recently named “Top 100 Interior Designers” by Design Bureau Magazine for his design at the Hotel Lafayette. Michael P is also known for his work as Design Producer on HGTV’s: American Rehab Buffalo, Flipping Austin & House Hunters.
David Lewandowski. Operations & Project Manager
David is our operations manager at Michael P. Design. He has worked across a wide variety of design industries and brings 17 years of experience to our process.
Courtney Regan. Designer.
Courtney graduated in 2015 from Buffalo States Interior Design program with a bachelors in fine arts. After graduating, she began her career with a local developer focusing mainly on hospitality and commercial design. After 6 years in a corporate design field, Courtney wanted to further her experience and expand her capabilities creatively, which brought her to Michael P Design! She says, “It has been so humbling to work with such a tight knit talented team, creating spaces in our clients home that become an extension of them.”
Cari O’Neil. Junior Designer
Our first Gen Z employee and self- titled historian of The Bachelor. When she’s not designing with us she’s teaching us “what the kids say”.

Cari is a recent addition to our team after graduating from Buffalo State’s interior design program. She interned with us during her final semester and upon graduation she joined us full-time!
Tyler Dietrich. Design Draftsman
Tyler graduated from Buffalo State College in 2021 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design. During his career, Tyler interned at Millington Lockwood before he got his start at Michael P. Design as a design draftsman. Tyler loves all things technical and enjoys finding new mediums to express design ideas like 3D printing and 3D design. He looks forward to grow in the industry and learn new things within his new position.
